What are questions you might have?

What is better about a rock drain field?

A rock drain field has multiple gaps which allows for proper draining and removal of debris. This prevents a sediment layer forming, requiring a replacement of the drain field. With a rock drain field, they can last between 20-50 years.

What is the cost difference?

The normal cost difference is around $1200 to $1500 on average more than with infiltrator drain fields.

How long have rock drain fields been around?

Rock drain fields have been around since the removal and later ban of outhouses and are still around to this day.

What's the average lifespan of a rock drain field?

The longest recorded is 62 years, which, don't get me wrong, is a very long time.

What makes rock drain fields better then chambers?

Short and to the point, rock has been proven time and time again. Chambers have failed time and time again

How long have chambers been around?

12 to 15 yrs

How long do chambers last?

On record we don't know. Average so far is 8 to 10 years.

Why do houses have mounds in the yard?

Because of the seasonal high water table which is determined by water table striping within the soils. These high water tables require a mound system to be installed, creating the "mound" system. The higher the water table, the further out of the ground the system must be. These systems include the use of pump chambers, pumps, and alarms to control the flow of the septic water into the drain field.

How long do I have before I need to clean my tank?

As per the local health department and I, we ask that you try to pump them every 3 to 5 years depending on how many people live in the house. This maintains a clean tank, and the risk of your drain field failing lower.

What sets you as a young contractor apart from other contractors?
